The short version
You clicked an affiliate link somewhere on our site. Thanks for that.
When you book a hotel, rent a car, or buy travel insurance through our links, we earn a small commission. You pay the same price. The booking company pays us a referral fee.
That’s it. That’s how we keep the lights on.
What we won’t do for money
Look, running a travel site about Albania isn’t exactly a goldmine. But we’ve set some rules we won’t break:
We don’t write fake reviews. If a hotel is mediocre, we’ll say it’s mediocre. If a tour is overpriced, you’ll know. Our reputation matters more than a commission check.
We don’t hide affiliate links. When we link to a booking partner, we’re upfront about it. No tricks, no hidden agendas.
We don’t promote places we haven’t vetted. Either we’ve been there ourselves, or someone on our team has. We’re not going to recommend the “best beach bar in Saranda” based on stock photos.
We don’t let sponsors write our content. Sponsored content is clearly labeled. We keep editorial control. If a sponsor wants us to pretend their three-star hotel is five stars, they can find another site.
Where the money actually goes
Beyond keeping the site running, we reinvest in:
- Local Albanian causes. Environmental conservation, cultural heritage preservation, community projects. This isn’t just content for us.
- Better content. Photography, research trips, local contributors who know their regions inside out.
- Keeping the site ad-free. No pop-ups, no autoplay videos, no intrusive banner ads chasing you around the page.
Want to work with us?
If you’re a legitimate business in Albania’s tourism space, we’re open to partnerships. Hotels, tour operators, car rentals, experience providers. But only if you actually deliver on your promises.
Contact us to discuss.
Thanks for supporting AlbaniaVisit.com. Every booking through our links helps us keep doing this work.
